Applications are now open for the Google for Startups Accelerator: South Africa 2026, a three-month hybrid accelerator designed to support growth-stage technology startups in South Africa.
The programme provides dedicated mentoring, technical training, and direct access to Google’s products and experts to help founders tackle technical challenges and scale their impact.
Backed by Google, the initiative targets South African-led startups building scalable products and leveraging emerging technologies to solve real market problems.

What successful applicants would getÂ
Selected founders will receive structured support aimed at strengthening their startups and overcoming technical hurdles.
Expert Mentorship: Participants will receive dedicated mentoring from Google teams and access to a vast network of industry experts.
Financial & Product Support: The programme provides up to R1 million ($60,397.68)in non-dilutive (equity-free) funding, Google product credits, and early access to new AI tools.
Technical Project Partnership: Founders will work hand-in-hand with Google experts to solve their biggest tech challenges and gain exclusive invitations to technical bootcamps.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Startup must be South African-led and demonstrate traction (ideally growth-stage)
The venture must be building a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and defensible growth model
The startup must be deeply technical, preferably leveraging machine learning and AI
There must be a commitment from the CTO and/or technical roles to participate and engage in required program sessions
