Applications are now open for the Wema Bank Hackaholics 7.0 Innovation Challenge 2026, a flagship open innovation programme designed to support tech enthusiasts, creatives, and developers building transformative startups.

The programme provides up to ₦200 million in cash prizes, industry mentorship, and direct access to banking APIs to help founders scale their ventures and refine their business models.

Backed by Wema Bank under the theme “Powering Possibilities,” the initiative targets innovators and early-stage startups solving real-world market problems across Africa’s emerging technology sectors.

Support for successful applicants of Wema Bank Hackaholics 7.0

Selected participants will receive structured support aimed at strengthening their startups and preparing them for scalability and market expansion.

Funding & Prizes: Participants stand a chance to win a share of ₦200 million in cash prizes and non-equity funding to refine, launch, and scale their solutions.

Expert Mentorship: Founders will receive guidance from industry professionals on product-market fit, regulatory compliance, and business growth strategies.

Tech Infrastructure Access: Innovators will gain hands-on enterprise exposure by building and testing their solutions using Wema Bank’s APIs and digital tools.

Eligibility

  •  The startup must demonstrate strong market potential, scalability, and a clear value proposition.
  •  Teams must consist of a maximum of three members, including at least one actively participating founder or senior decision-maker.
