Applications are now open for the Deloitte Cyber Academy, a 12-month skill development programme designed to equip and empower prospective young graduates with the invaluable knowledge needed to harness emerging opportunities in the Cyber Security and Information Technology space.
The programme aims to develop the talents required to solve contemporary and future digital challenges. Note that this is a skill development initiative, not an employment scheme, though it provides exceptional candidates with pathways to professional roles.
Operating out of Lagos, Nigeria, the academy leverages Deloitte’s global expertise to offer candidates hands-on experience, technical skill acquisition, and a competitive edge in the cybersecurity industry.
Programme Support
Selected candidates will receive structured training aimed at building high-demand technical skills and preparing them for the workforce.
Technical Skill Acquisition: Participants will acquire high-demand technical skills in cybersecurity and information technology, making them readily employable in the tech sector.
Internship Opportunities: Candidates who demonstrate exceptional performance upon completion of the 12-month program will be offered internship placements.
Professional Placement Pool: Successful participants will have the opportunity to be placed in the Deloitte pool of Cyber Security professionals for engagement on active Cyber Security projects.

Focus Areas
- The programme covers broad IT and cybersecurity concepts:
- Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing.
- Implementation of Security Standards.
- Security Operations and Network Monitoring.
- Incident Response and Investigation.
- Email Security and Security Analytics.
- Deployment/Management of Security Tools (e.g., SIEM, NAC, DAM, WAF, NGFW, UTM)
Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Age limit: Must be 28 years old or younger as of the application date.
Education: Possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.A., etc.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) or Upper Credit.
O-Level Requirements: Must have a minimum of five credits in WASSCE/NECO (or acceptable equivalent), including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in one sitting.
Technical Knowledge: Must have knowledge of Information Technology, IT systems (Operating Systems, Applications, Networks, Databases), and proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Skills/Traits: Must possess the ability to think outside the box and quickly learn new ideas independently.
Note: Existing cybersecurity-related certifications are an added advantage.
