How to apply for AfCFTA startup acceleration program 2026

The African Continental Free Trade Area Startup Acceleration & Partnership Program 2026, a flagship initiative implemented in partnership with the Korea-Africa Foundation, has opened applications for African startups with innovative and scalable business models seeking international expansion opportunities.

The programme is designed to strengthen business capabilities, facilitate market expansion, and foster strategic partnerships between Africa and the Republic of Korea.

The AfCFTA, which officially commenced trading in 2021, was established to create a single continental market for goods and services across Africa, while promoting industrialisation, economic integration, and intra-African trade. Its broader goal is to improve the competitiveness of African businesses in global markets.

How startups can apply for AfCFTA acceleration program 2026

According to the AfCFTA Secretariat, interested startups are required to submit a completed application form, business plan, and supporting documents outlined in the application guidelines.

Applications are to be submitted through the official email: SME.Support@au-afcfta.org.

Eligibility criteria

The programme is open to African startups that:

  • Have innovative and scalable business models
  • Demonstrate readiness for international expansion

  • Logistics
  • Agri-tech
