Applications are now open for the GATEWAY Program, an initiative designed to support young Nigerians in accessing dignified and fulfilling work within the global gig economy.
The programme provides high-demand digital skills training, access to productivity tools, and direct connections to local and international gig platforms to help young Nigerians build a sustainable future.
Backed by ecosystem partners including Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB) and the Mastercard Foundation, the five-year initiative targets 400,000 young Nigerians, equipping them with AI-ready creative skills and active enablement for stable employment.

Programme Support
Selected participants will receive structured, comprehensive support aimed at strengthening their skillsets and preparing them for the global gig economy.
Dual Learning Pathways: Participants will access either a Foundations or Growth Pathway featuring 100% AI-enhanced, mobile-first learning content designed to meet them at their current skill level.
Inclusive Support & Stipends: Eligible learners—with priority given to women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and displaced youth—will receive general stipends, childcare support, and physical hub access to remove barriers to participation.
Work Tools & Financial Access: Upon completion, participants gain access to essential work tools and tailored financial services, including low-interest micro-loans, health insurance (HMOs), and pensions specifically designed for gig workers.
Expert Mentorship: Participants will learn alongside peers and mentors through monthly sessions, expert-led circles, and robust post-program alumni networks.

Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following criteria
- Must be a young Nigerian looking to build a career in the digital/gig economy.
- Open to all experience
- Individuals from marginalized groups (women, PWDs, and displaced youth) are highly prioritized.
- Â Must reside in or be able to participate across the 10 targeted states for the nationwide rollout.

Unlike traditional programs, GATEWAY goes beyond training to ensure participants are actively transitioned into the workforce. At the end of the training, graduates will be introduced to the gig economy ecosystem.
