Applications are now open for the Google Cloud “Get Certified” Program (GEAR), a fully funded, up to 9-week structured learning cohort designed to help developers, builders, and technical leaders prepare for industry-recognized Google Cloud certifications.
The programme provides instructor-led training, hands-on labs in real cloud environments, and technical mentorship to take participants from fundamentals to certification readiness.
Backed by the Google Developer Program, the initiative targets professionals employed by Google Cloud customer organizations who want to build, deploy, and scale enterprise-grade AI agents and cloud infrastructure.

Programme Support
Selected participants will receive structured, step-by-step guidance aimed at strengthening their practical cloud skills and preparing them for the certification exam.
Instructor-Led Classes: Participants will receive weekly deep dives into complex topics and get their technical questions answered in real time by Google-certified experts.
Hands-on Labs: The programme provides ~9 hours per week of virtual labs and skill badge quests, allowing participants to build practical skills in real cloud environments (not just simulations).
Community Support: Learners will lean on a dedicated cohort and technical mentors for peer support, resource sharing, and troubleshooting.

Available Certification Tracks
The programme is open to builders and leaders selecting one of the following certification tracks:
Generative AI Leader (GAIL)
Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE)
Professional Cloud Architect (PCA)
Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Must be employed by a Google Cloud customer organization.
- Must sign up using a valid corporate work email linked to an active Google Workspace/Cloud account (personal or university emails are not accepted).
- Must commit to an intensive schedule requiring approximately 9 hours of study per week (live sessions, labs, and self-study).
- Must demonstrate a strong desire to advance their career in Cloud computing, Generative AI, or DevOps.
At the end of the 9-week core curriculum, successful participants will be equipped to take their Google Cloud Certification exam.
